Certain hazardous substance classifications exceeding specified threshold quantities are required to be under the control of an Approved Handler. For some of the more dangerous hazardous substances Approved Handlers might be required irrespective of the quantity.
Not everybody handling a hazardous substance needs to be an Approved Handler. However, should Handlers be required, you will need to have sufficient Handlers to cover all foreseeable operating hours. Please contact us to discuss your specific needs.
We currently hold Approved Handler training here at our offices in Silverdale on the 4th Thursday of each month.
Yes we can! We offer a 1 day course here at our offices in Silverdale and you will need to provide us with evidence of the practical training in pyrotechnics display operations that you have trained each of your team members in.
We can also assist you through the procedure for obtaining Controlled Substances Licences, which are additionally required for all Pyrotechnic Display Handlers.
No, hazardous substances have varying intrinsic properties which are, in many cases, incompatible with each other. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
Yes, we can – it’s what we do! We can assist you in the preparation of your Emergency Response Plans and Zoning diagrams where these are required. Alternatively we can provide advice that will enable you to prepare these yourself. Contact us for more information
You can train your own staff to fill cylinders as long as you, yourself, are a certified Approved Filler. It is in order to prepare your staff for them to become certified Fillers, but you must directly supervise them at all times while they are learning to fill cylinders. Please contact us when your staff are ready for us to provide an Approved Filler training course.
If the tank is below ground, yes you will regardless of the size of the tank. If the tank is above ground it will depend on the substance being stored. Please contact us to discuss your specific situation.
